10th Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit Habitat for Humanity

The Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors recently had its 10th annual golf tournament to benefit Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle, raising about $6,000. The event took place June 25 and was another successful fundraiser sponsored by EPBR to benefit the tri-county Habitat chapter that serves Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties.

During the last 10 years, EPBR has raised more than $60,000 to help Habitat for Humanity in its mission of partnering with families to build and sell homes in the West Virginia eastern panhandle.

A check will be presented to representatives of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle in January 2015 at the annual EPBR installation ceremony. During the day’s festivities, golfer Jan Piffer won the $500 grand prize, which she donated back to Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle.

Area sponsors for the event included: Locust Hill Golf Course; Chick-fil-A, which provided food for breakfast; Glory Days of Ranson, which provided food for lunch; Dick’s Sporting Goods, which provided various coupons; Legal Links Sponsors, Briel PC, Crawford and Keller, Conrad Law Firm, Luttrell and Prezioso and Pill & Pill.
