October 2018 Newsletter

President's Message

Hello, EPBR Members,

Here we are in the 4th quarter already! But there is plenty to come before the end of the year.

Please support the Community Service Committee Food Drive. You can bring your donations to the Board office, hold collections in your office or neighborhood, and volunteer an hour or two to cover our community collection sights. It’s an easy thing to do that benefits so many in our communities. See more details in this newsletter.

Also, in this newsletter, see a breakdown of the 2019 dues. Even though there is an increase in the National and State portion, you’ll see our local dues remain the same again this year. When paying your dues, please include your RPAC contribution. This is an important piece in promoting our industry. Your RPAC dollars matter when we’re battling against things like a state tax on real estate commissions or the defunding of federal flood insurance subsidies.

The Strategic Plan Committee is wrapping up work on what you want to see in the future from our professional association. Thank you for your input that will set a clear direction and birth new initiatives.

Watch your email for upcoming changes as MRIS converts over to BRIGHT MLS next month. At the Annual Meeting we got a great overview including access to a parallel system we can play around in before the actual conversion. The new system will offer more features even while the subscription fees are reduced.

I hope to see you all at the Wine Tasting fundraiser on the 16th at Shepherd’s Cove! It will be a great evening of fun to raise money for the United Way. Don’t miss it!
