July 2018 Newsletter

President's Message

Thank you! The initial phases of the strategic planning process have been completed, and your engagement made a huge impact!! You’ll hear more about the results and how your input is being used to chart the future for our professional association.

In the meantime, hopefully you’ve noticed the new “This Week at EPBR” email announcement. Watch for it every Monday to be in the know on what’s happening. You’ll find info on scheduled meetings, special events, and some ongoing activities.

There are plenty of opportunities to engage – attend a committee meeting, sign up for the bowling fundraiser, collect food donations at your office… Experience the strength, encouragement, and fun that results from us working together in our business and community.

Also, check out the new EPBR website ( epbr.net). It’s still a work in progress, but the new platform is mobile friendly and will allow easier access to register for events and the things you use the most. More content will be added over time to even further enhance its value.

Our industry continues to change and evolve. EPBR is doing the same to enhance value and service to the membership. Please continue to engage to ensure it’s one of the most relevant, useful resources you have.

Patti Sherwood, President

AS YOU MAY HAVE ALREADY KNOWN

As you may have already known NAR and WVAR  approved a dues increase for 2019 however, EPBR will NOT be increasing your local dues. NAR increase is $30.00 and WVAR increase is $25.00.  The last time NAR and WVAR increased dues was 2011.  Every wonder how your NAR membership dues are used?

Since 2019 dues orders have already been generated in RAMCO, Tammy will create an additional order to reflect the dues increase, so be sure when paying your 2019 dues, that you also remit payment for both orders.

PLEASE HELP STOCK LOCAL FOOD BANKS

The Eastern Panhandle Board of REALTORS® Community Service Committee is requesting your help in stocking our local food bank pantries. Please bring any non-perishable food items to the Board office between 8:30 – 4:30. HOUSE BRANDS ARE GREAT!

SentriLock Tip

TIP: When you need a Power Paddle, for Morgan and Jefferson Counties, you won’t have to come to the Board Office to pick it up.  We have stationed paddles at ERA Liberty Realty in Charles Town and Coldwell Banker in Berkeley Springs to make it more convenient.   Just stop by one of those offices.  Of course, we still have paddles at the Board office as well.

REMEMBER…Anytime you have an issue your Sentrilock whether it is a lockbox, SentriCard or SentriSmart App -Please ALWAYS call Support first 513-618-5800.  They will be able to troubleshoot the problem and provide instructions for you.
